description of the energy-efficient services provided to some
of our top clients, demonstrating the outstanding energy- and
cost-savings goals we've helped them achieve.
- Program Design and Development Southern California Edison Company
Solaris employees assisted SCE with program design and development, vendor contract negotiations, and program planning coordination with SCE's legal, regulatory, and EE management to produce the necessary purchase orders that outlined how the program implementer would accomplish the "work" for each program, and assign the responsibility to reach each defined energy goal. Specific services provided were:
- RFP coordination
- Contract development
- PUC program filing
- New statement of work development
- Program implementation plan development
- Program evaluation (proposal review and evaluation, technical review, and evaluation)
- Energy Efficiency Program Management/Oversight Southern California Edison Company
During the 2006-08 program cycle for SCE, Solaris successfully managed nine third-party energy-efficiency programs. Our tasks included monitoring and directing day-to-day
operations of each program to ensure that all goals and objectives were met, and that
all services and projects were accomplished in an efficient and effective manner.
- Non-Residential DSM Programs Imperial Irrigation District
Solaris program managers and engineers have developed a full array of non-residential programs and technical implementation services for the Arizona Public Service Company. These programs include prescriptive, custom incentive programs, and a pump efficiency program. Serving as part of the overall team, Solaris provided turnkey DSM implementation services which included program administration, marketing, technical support, auditing, inspections, database management, project management, and reporting.
- EM&V for SCPPA Multiple Utilities
Solaris' Engineers and Consultants work one-on-one with many municipality members of SCPPA (such as the cities of Anaheim, Burbank, Glendale, Azusa, and Banning) to provide:
- Impact Evaluations: We work to determine the impacts (usually energy and demand
savings) and co-benefits (such as avoided emissions health benefits, job creation, and
water savings) that are the direct result of a specific program.
- Process Evaluations: We also assess how efficiently a program was or is being imple-
mented, with respect to its objectives and potential improvements for future programs.
- Market Effects Evaluations: Details are provided describing a program's influence on
initiating future energy-efficiency projects due to changes in the marketplace.
